The Paper Cinema Ghost Stories – Hosted by Norbury Primary School at the Village Hall on Wednesday 19th October 2016
Doors open at 6.00 pm and a children’s film will be shown at 6.30 pm before the The Paper Cinema Company perform at 7.00 pm. Entrance by ticket only.
In April 2016, Key Stage 2 pupils participated in a very successful and enjoyable workshop with The Paper Cinema. Using ideas they have gathered from the children, The Paper Cinema Company have done a production based on ghostly tales from Cornwall, Devon, Wiltshire and Shropshire. Beguiling pen and ink drawings are magically brought to life by a pair of puppeteers and a projector to create a unique, animated film. They are joined by a hugely talented ensemble of multi-instrumentalists (including violin, guitar, musical saw and live looping) performing the atmospheric soundtrack live on stage.
This will be a marvelous evening’s entertainment and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this event. Tickets can either be purchased by using the school’s shop online payment system or via the school office – telephone number and email details below.
Tickets are priced at £7.00 per adult, £3.00 per child and £24.00 for a family ticket.
Money raised from the sale of tickets will be used to help cover the costs of the children’s workshops. The school P.T.A will also have refreshments of wine, tea/coffee and cakes for sale on the evening.
NOTE: The performance is not suitable for children in nursery or reception year groups, as the performance is geared for Key Stage 2 aged pupils (8 years and above). Any younger children who attend must be able to sit quietly for the hour long performance. Please note that as the theme of the production is ghost stories it may not be suitable for some children.
