Flicks in the Sticks – A Big Thank You from the Organisers

In our recent email (to village hall newsletter and facebook subscribers) we pointed out that, after nearly four years of putting on Flicks in the Sticks at the village hall, we were struggling to cover our costs. In order for us to decide whether to continue after this season, we invited you to demonstrate your interest and commitment by coming along to our next two films. Boy, did you respond! We sold a record number of tickets for The Great Escaper, 58 compared to our previous high of 48. So a big thank you to all involved. It gives us the confidence to keep going.

It would be good to see as many of you as possible at our final screening of the season: ‘One Life’ the story of Nicholas Winton and the Kinder Transport on Thursday 28th March – Full information to follow soon!

We are also still looking for one or two people to join our team. If you are interested, please get in touch with Richard Cooke: cookehardwick@hotmail.co.uk
