The Village Hall at Norbury 10-Year Anniversary Tea Party – Thank You

Well, what an absolutely fabulous afternoon we all had.

A very big thank you to all our friends and supporters from over the years for making the village hall’s 10-year anniversary tea party such a wonderful occasion. It was incredibly heart-warming to see our wonderful community enjoying the afternoon and celebrating this milestone year. We also had some lovely messages from those now living further afield (and who couldn’t make it) to wish us all the very best on this special occasion.

We’d also very much like to thank all of those who helped on the day and behind the scenes:

Norbury and District WI members and everybody else who kindly baked the delicious scones and served them on the day. Also, a very special thank you to Louise Whitgreave, who made the beautifully decorated birthday cake for us all to enjoy during the entertainment – cake following scones, what a treat!

Which brings us on to thanking the fantastic Community Choir and Leslie Oldham who leads the group – such an uplifting performance and so wonderful hear the space filled with happy voices. If any of you have been inspired to join the choir, then practice sessions are on Tuesday evenings!

Thank you to our wonderful Parish Council (Myndtown Combined Parish Council) who kindly donated funds to pay for the event – some of which went towards the celebratory fizz we all enjoyed.

Also, a very big thank you to Trevor Sheard for giving such a lovely speech and representing all those on the original Steering Committee who worked tirelessly for years to make the new hall a reality.

And finally… a big thank you to our wonderful Management Committee and team who keep the show running, week-in week-out – and to their families, who get roped in to helping on many occasions!

We’re very much looking forward to many happy years ahead at Norbury Village Hall, and all the wonderful memories to be made here in the future.
