Discover the Joy of Norbury Parent, Baby and Toddler Group!

Finding a space that truly understands the importance of play, connection, and community for little ones can be a challenge. That is why Anita Bright, Mike and Trish Clark, Sue Pinches and Jacky Unwin, turn up every Wednesday term-time to provide Norbury Parent, Baby and Toddler Group! Running since 1979, the group offers a warm, welcoming environment that’s perfect for little ones to explore, make friends, and enjoy some quality time with their parents, carers and grandparents before they head off to school. Here’s why the Norbury Toddlers Group might just be the perfect fit for your family…

A place to grow, explore, and play

At Norbury Village Hall, we understand that toddlers learn best through play, exploration, and safe socialisation. Our sessions are carefully planned to encourage children’s natural curiosity and developmental milestones. Each week, we offer:

  • Creative play areas: From sensory bins and building blocks to art stations and imaginative play corners, every session is filled with activities that nurture creativity and help develop fine and gross motor skills.
  • Sing-songs & storytelling: Kids get to enjoy songs, rhymes, and stories that spark imagination and build listening skills. This also gives them a chance to experience routine and connection in a supportive group setting.
  • Outdoor play: When weather allows, we make full use of the Village Hall at Norbury’s outdoor space! Nature walks, sandpits, and mini adventures help our toddlers get some fresh air and burn off that boundless energy.

A welcoming space for parents and caregivers

Norbury Village Hall’s Toddlers Group is not just for the kids; it’s a supportive community for parents, grandparents, and carers too! Raising a toddler can be both a joy and a challenge, and having a local network of fellow caregivers can make all the difference. While the little ones play, adults can enjoy a cup of tea, share tips, swap stories, and build friendships in a laid-back and understanding environment.

Why choose Norbury Village Hall’s toddlers group?

With many children going to school or nursery earlier these days, you might wonder if a toddler group is still beneficial. Here’s why we think it’s more important than ever:

  1. Prepares for nursery and school: Our toddler group gently introduces children to a structured social setting, helping them develop important social and emotional skills like taking turns, sharing, and listening.
  2. Encourages bonding time: As children grow, finding uninterrupted bonding time can be tough. Our sessions give families the chance to play, laugh, and learn together in a way that strengthens their unique bond.
  3. Flexible commitment: We offer a drop-in format with no long-term commitment, so you can come as often or as little as fits your schedule. This makes it easy for families with younger siblings, busy days, or ever-changing routines.

We know that every stage of childhood is precious, and Norbury Toddlers Group is here to celebrate that special time with you. Whether you’re looking for a regular activity, a place to make new friends, or just a fun morning for your child, we would love to welcome you to our community.
