Flicks in the Sticks – ‘The Old Oak’ on Thursday 17 October at 7.30 pm

October’s film is ‘The Old Oak’ directed by Ken Loach. The story revolves around the last remaining pub and community hub in a previously thriving northern mining village, and local tensions when a group of Syrian refugees are moved there without notice. Can landlord TJ and refugee Yara find a way to help these two communities better understand one another?
